AoE2 build order overlay
MetaAOE shows your build order on top of Age of Empires II: DE and moves it along with the match clock. Each civ gets builds from known players, credited by name. Free, on Overwolf.

What the card shows
The current step: villagers to reach and how many go on food, wood, gold and stone.
The next step, with a countdown. Fall behind and it tells you by how much.
The next age-up: when to click it and what it costs.
A build made for your civ: it plays to the civ's bonus.
The same card as in AoE IV
Villagers, resources and the next step, readable at a glance. Shown here with an AoE IV build.

Counters, one key away
Alt+C opens the counters to your opponent's civ, AoE II units included. The best answer is in green.

Questions
Is it free?
Yes. Ads appear only in the desktop window, never on the overlay.
Do I need Overwolf?
Yes. MetaAOE is an Overwolf app: Overwolf draws the overlay over the game and tells the app when a match starts. It runs on Windows.
Can I use it in ranked?
The overlay works in any match: online, the clock starts on its own; otherwise press Alt+T. MetaAOE does not touch the game: no memory reading, no injection, no automated action. It shows your build and public match data.
Where do the builds come from?
From known players of the AoE II scene, credited by name with a link to the source (Hera and others). A civ without one yet gets a standard opening (scouts, archers, fast castle), credited to MetaAOE.
Does it work for Age of Empires IV?
Yes, with the most-played builds of each civ: AoE4 build order overlay.
